Data Synchronization Across Enterprise Grids

Overview Industry leaders in electronic design automation (EDA) and industrial manufacturing have been using Enterprise Grids since 1996. Because their engineers are geographically distributed, these leading organizations require extra-campus grid solutions to facilitate collaborative design. With Platform LSF as the Enterprise Grid enabler, distributed computing and resource management intersect at the pan-site scale, and at each of the geographically distinct satellite sites. Prior to this point, production use of the LSF software has involved advanced-scheduling policies (e.g. fairshare, preemption, resource reservation, adaptive dispatch, etc.), license management etc., spanning multiple geographic locations. For the first time, however, attention is paid to the challenge of data synchronization in Enterprise Grids.
