Enable Existing Applications for Grid

Overview This paper first introduces the basic architectural pattern that fits most cases when you enable existing code. Then this paper discusses a few strategies to enable existing code based on the most common architectures that has been encountered over the years. This paper also introduce two basic scenarios for platform-specific distributed applications and studies the most common architectural variations of each scenario and the most common way to make these architectures fit into the enablement pattern. The paper concludes with two scenarios for Web-enabled applications (servlet-centric and database-centric).
