ENEA Builds Computational Grid With Platform and IBM

Overview The Italian National Agency for New Technology, Energy and the Environment (ENEA) is a public organization that conducts research and development. To maximize the utilization of its widespread computing resource, ENEA required a solution that would connect all systems across local and remote locations and organizational boundaries. With Platform's Grid Computing solutions, ENEA researchers have a single sign on in a secure environment; global availability of user data and applications; instant access to new hardware or software resources when available; optimized access to commercial ISV codes; and general-purpose and Quadrics-specific load balanced batch services. While Platform LSF provides transparent, policy-centric workload management.
