Omnitel Appraises Level of Service: Thanks to HP Services

Overview Omnitel Vodafone is the mobile phone operator. Omnitel needed software that simulated the behaviour of the average user. It also needed to implement a solution that could continually monitor the level of availability and performance of services. Omnitel installed HP OpenView, the Hewlett-Packard control framework, to manage every component of the hardware structure, network and applications and to identify when maintenance action is required. With the launch services, the Omnitel management deemed this level of control insufficient, as it provided the internal status of the systems, network and applications.
