Making the case for Web filtering
Overview According to industry analyst firm IDC, 30 to 40 percent of Internet use in the workplace today is unrelated to business. These same non-business Web sites are also where the majority of malicious code and malware originate. Many companies are choosing to filter Web users in order to block unwanted web traffic, increase employee productivity and protect network systems from outside intrusion. However, adopting and managing a Web filtering solution isn’t without controversy and challenges.
