JXTA for the Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME)

Overview The JXTA platform is a set of open, generalized peer-to-peer protocols allowing any networked device (from cell phone to server, PDA to desktop PC) to discover, communicate, and collaborate with other devices. It is an open source effort that has involved the developer community from the beginning. JXTA for the Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME Platform) is a new project of the JXTA development community to extend distributed computing to small devices such as cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and Pocket PCs. This paper gives an overview of the project, JXTA for the Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME Platform).
