IBM Case Study: NTT Data

Overview The challenge of NTT was to move NTT DATA cell computing from theory to reality through a large-scale, grid computing testing project designed to make the technology commercially available. NTT implemented a PC-based grid computing infrastructure, which utilizes IBM eServer pSeries server, IBM eServer xSeries server, IBM DB2 information management software, IBM Grid Technical Support and United Devices grid middleware. The PC grid system is expected to open new business opportunities, leverage an existing broadband network and provide on demand availability and scalability with minimum investment.
