Reliable Communications: Creating a Secure, High-Volume Online Retail Environment

Overview Reliable Communications is an online seller of prepaid phone cards. The challenge was to provide a secure online store capable of handling a large and growing number of transactions. Reliable Communications chose VeriSign's PayFlow Pro and Fraud Protection Services. VeriSign's PayFlow Pro is an online payment processing solution that also allows Reliable to process telephone, fax, e-mail, or in-person orders using a virtual terminal. VeriSign's Fraud Protection Services pass all potential purchases through a set of comprehensive filters that scan for such activities as high-quantity transactions, shipping/billing mismatches, or purchase indicators on one of several high-risk lists including lists of bad credit card numbers, bad e-mail addresses, and bad IP addresses.
