Oracle Storage Compatibility Testing - Remote Mirroring Using Compaq SANworks Data Replication Manager

Overview This paper discusses the remote mirroring capability of Compaq SANworks Data Replication Manager (DRM) when used with Oracle 8i. SANworks Data Replication Manager is a storage-based real-time replication solution that provides both data replication as well as cloning and snapshot functionality. DRM runs at full fibre channel speeds of up to 100Mbytes/sec at distances up to 100KM. DRM connects to a Fibre Channel RAID Array 8000 and/or the Enterprise Storage Array 12000 and the new MA8000/EMA12000 RAID Fibre Channel external storage systems.
