LINZ Creates Virtual Call Centre Using Nortel Networks IP Technology

Overview LINZ is New Zealand's government agency for land and seabed information including information on property surveys and ownership, topographic maps and nautical charts. LINZ needed a complete picture of call-ins and nationwide patterns, as well as reporting systems to ensure planning and scheduling, to avoid abandoned calls and respond more flexibly to call demand. LINZ selected Nortel. The Nortel Networks solution leverages Telecom's IP network to, automatically direct them to the LINZ agent with the most appropriate skills to handle their query, regardless of where that Agent is situated.
