Detailed OFDM Modeling in Network Simulation of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
Overview In mobile ad hoc network (MANET) studies, it is imperative to use highly detailed device models as they provide high layer protocols with good prediction of underlying wireless communication performance. However, such studies often utilize abstract models for execution speed and simplicity. This paper first shows that physical layer variables including path loss, shadowing, multipath, Doppler have significant effects on the predicted overall networking performance. It then proposes an approach to simulate details of wireless propagation and radio characteristics in networking studies while still maintaining a reasonable simulation execution time.

Create users in Active Directory from a CSV file with this VBScript
This VBScript will create users with passwords in Active Directory in the Users container. Creating users can be tedious, especially when user information already resides in your company's HR system. Instead...
Install and configure Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG) 2.13.2
In this download, we will configure MRTG to run as a daemon in the background, perform simple monitoring of a network device, configure the output to produce an index.html file,...
Multiobjective Network Design for Realistic Traffic Models
Network topology design problems find application in several real life scenarios. However, most designs in the past either optimize for a single criterion like delay or assume simplistic traffic models...
Seamless Physical and Virtual Server Management: An Integrated Management Approach
Virtualization is delivering significant benefits to IT organizations that employ virtualized server, storage, and file system solutions. As enterprise demand for new applications and capabilities shows no sign of slowing,...
Better Together: Using ISA Server 2004 With Exchange Server 2003
Attacks against IT networks are on the rise and becoming increasingly complex. Traditional firewalls are often inadequate to protect against the latest threats, exposing Internet-connected organizations of all sizes to...
