Field Evaluations in Taiwan of the DVB-T COFDM and ATSC 8-VSB Digital TV Systems

Overview This paper presents the results of field evaluations carried out in Taiwan on the two principal digital TV broadcasting systems in use today. ATSC 8-VSB (developed in North America) and DVB-T COFDM (developed in Europe). The evaluations were carried out in February and March 2001 in the Northern area and the Taipei metropolis of Taiwan.
