An Automation Test Suite is Developed and Tested for ATM Switch Signaling Protocols
Overview The project required the development and testing of an automation test suite for the customer's ATM switch signaling protocols (UNI, PNNI, AINI, SAAL). Fourteen Wipro engineers worked on this next generation ATM switch and converted test specifications into test scripts using SNMP scripting language. The test development environment included Erlang, Tcl/Tk, traffic generators like HP75000 and use of cell generation and ATM protocol simulators. This project has helped the customer to test the product faster, thus reducing time-to-market. Element and network management functionalities were tested, particularly in areas of fault management, network synchronization, SDH/SONET, protection switching and redundancy.
