IPv6 Transition Test Challenges

Overview The purpose of this paper is to review the different test challenges that network equipment manufacturers and Internet service providers will encounter when migrating to IPv6. This paper describes three test scenarios: a functional test scenario for configured and automatic tunneling, a functional test scenario for the routing protocol BGP-4+ based on draft-ietf-ngtrans-bgp-tunnel, and a stress test scenario based on the same draft. The device being tested will be referred to as the System Under Test (SUT).
