Link Adaptation in OFDM Systems
Overview Link Adaptation (LA) is a powerful means of increasing throughput in wireless channels by customizing the transmission rate based on channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter. This paper considers link adaptation in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. OFDM is a promising digital modulation technique that effectively divides the frequency band into a number of narrow subcarriers that are each flat-fading.
