Overview The CBA CommSec and IT&e partnership is unique in Australia - as a fully outsourced service. The "CommSec" site was to provide a functional and cost effective solution not bound by the potential for sudden growth or requirements that may vary on a daily basis. CommSec, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Commonwealth bank, had to provide a complementary service that would enhance the presence and services of the parent organisation. As part of the solution, IT&e and CommSec worked together, to establish a viable hosting facility at Optus allowing for the required infrastructure and communications services to deliver a reliable user interaction with fast response times.
