Pseudo Random Postfix OFDM Based Modulator for Next Generation 60GHz WLANs

Overview The IST-2001-32686 project BROADWAY proposes a hybrid dual frequency system operating at 5GHz based on ETSI BRAN HIPERLAN/2 and at 60GHz through an innovative fully ad-hoc extension named HIPERSPOT. In order to allow Single Frequency Network (SFN) deployments at 60GHz while granting compatibility between the two concepts, similar OFDM based physical layers are used with some key improvements for the HIPERSPOT extension.

Case Study: NLOS Broadband Wireless Deployment for Small Town / Rural Markets

This case study shows how a non-line of sight (NLOS) broadband wireless Internet access system successfully serves a small town/rural market. NextNet's Expedience NLOS system is deployed in six rural...

PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems Using Constellation Shaping

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a multicarrier transmission technique, which is widely adopted in different communication applications. OFDM prevents Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) by inserting a guard interval and...

Dental Practice Software Provider Reduces Support Costs by an Estimated $5,187 Per Day Using Remote Desktop Support Appliance

With 272 of their over 700 employees devoted to support, PracticeWorks, Inc. wanted to enhance their web-based support presence through remote support. They needed a solution that enabled a fast...

Comparison of Iterative Detection Schemes for MIMO Systems With Spreading Based on OFDM

This paper considers a coded transmission over a time-invariant MIMO channel, where channel state information is present at the receiver but not at the transmitter. As basic modulation technique OFDM...
