IPV6 on AIX 5L

Overview This paper describes the IPv6 protocol and describes how IPv6 is configured and managed on the IBM AIX 5L operating system. IPv6 increases the address length from 32 bits to 128 bits resulting in a much larger number of addressable networks and nodes. The addition of scopes to multicast addresses improves the scalability of multicast routing. IPv6 has a new address type - anycast, which allows a packet to be sent to any one of a group of nodes.
