Hitachi Storage at Work: Eesti Uhispank
Overview A subsidiary of the Swedish banking conglomerate, SEB Group, Eesti Uhispank is now one of the most advanced banks in Europe, both in terms of banking services and technology environment. During the spring of 2003, Eesti Uhispank decided to purchase a new storage solution. However, the bank did not want to invest in large enterprise systems and wanted a storage systems supplier who could deliver on performance, availability and price, as well as demonstrate reliability in terms of delivery, expertise and service. Eesti Uhispank selected Hitachi Data Systems' modular Thunder 9570V as the foundation of their new storage environment. As well as providing high availability, capacity and price/performance, it also met their desire to avoid investing in a large enterprise system.
