Hitachi Storage at Work Case Study: NorgesGruppen
Overview NorgesGruppen is the largest food retailer in Norway. The company recently implemented a new computer system, which supports all of the companies within the group. The new system processes some 100,000 order lines every hour. Not surprisingly, this placed considerable demands on their disk storage capacity. NorgesGruppen evaluated many different solutions before choosing the Lightning 9980V. The new Hitachi Data Systems Lightning 9980V will support Iscsi (Scsi over IP) later this year, which is becoming increasingly important. The Lightning 9980V will meet all of the group's demands for the next 2-3 years.
