Epson Case Study: Shell Terminals
Overview Charged with the responsibility of managing the development of the kiosks and the underlying network is Amanda Emerson, Project Manager, Shell Information Technology International. Aside from delivering an around-the-clock fuel purchasing service at their remote locations, the project also provides them with the opportunity to establish a standard EFT-POS solution throughout Australia. In assessing printers for the kiosk, Shell examined offerings from five vendors, deciding finally on the EPSON EU-T432, a thermal line printer designed specifically to be an embedded unit in self-service terminals.
