HACWS: An HACMP Application for IBM eServer Cluster 1600

Overview The objective of this paper is to provide how-to technical information about configuring HACWS using HACMP 4.5 for IBM eServer Cluster 1600. This paper describes, in detail, installation, customization, and configuration procedures configuring the high availability control workstation. HACWS is designed to remove the control workstation (CWS) as a single point of failure in an IBM eServer pSeries Cluster 1600 System. With HACMP 4.5, this functionality has been extended to include SP Systems with attached p690 servers.
