Overview Vulnerability management addresses the life cycle of identifying system misconfigurations and critical design flaws in software that may allow a malicious user to misuse the technology and impact your business-critical systems and the remedying of those security exposures. eTrust Vulnerability Manager from Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is an asset-based appliance that discovers assets, identifies vulnerabilities, provides detailed remediation instructions and verifies compliance - dramatically reducing risks and proactively protecting your enterprise. CA worked with a third-party IT consulting organization to compare the business value of eTrust Vulnerability Manager to manual or point solutions when securing assets within the enterprise. The empirical findings of the study are documented in this paper.
