IBM Case Study: Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi

Overview Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (BTM) is a member of the Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group and the world's fourth largest bank with total assets in excess of 94 trillion Yen. Over the past few years, exploiting the Internet has been at the forefront of its strategy, implementing new services such as an electronic wallet, trusted e-payment and online access to aggregated views of customer account information. The challenge was to automat a manual process in an open way. The solution was to introduce an Export Letter of Credit Information Service based on Web services standards and IBM Web services technologies.
