Financial Planning Software Shines With .NET
Overview Impact has deployed seven financial-planning Web applications with Microsoft .NET: PlanLab is a collaboration system for financial planners. It is a hosted application that takes full advantage of .NET's "terrific" web integration. PlanLab uses ASP.NET, C#, and XML Web services. In addition, Impact has completed a portfolio simulation system with Monte Carlo modeling, a case data migration web service, a qualified IRA plan distribution analysis site, a document design and print engine, and a split benefit IRA calculator with .NET. PlanLab is in its third incarnation. It took 6 months for 3 people to implement it with .NET; the first version took a full year. The .NET boost: 200%.
