Macromedia Case Study: American Airlines

Overview American Airlines Passenger division is the largest scheduled passenger airline in the world. The challenge for American Airlines was to develop training courses for employees in divisions such as Flight Attendant, Pilot, Maintenance and Engineering, Reservations, and Airport Customer Service. In the early 1990s, the group saw an opportunity to incorporate the advancing technology of computer based training (CBT) into its training and development programs. At that time, a highly skilled group of designers and developers worked with Macromedia Authorware to convert more than 400 hours of Security, Cargo, and Customer Service training to CBT. Today, the Corporate Flagship University delivers hundreds of hours of training each month using Macromedia Authorware, Macromedia Flash, and Fireworks.
