Overview Rackspace Managed Hosting stands out in the hosting market. Founded in 1998 on the premise that Web hosting requires great service as well as great servers, Rackspace has thrived, achieving profitability in January 2001, while other players have wilted. The challenge was to keep pace with a Web hosting company expanding at a rate of 500 new servers per month. They Deploy Rackspace's Intensive Hosting enterprise customers onto Dell PowerEdge servers based on the Intel Xeon processor. Use Dell OpenManage server management tools to manage Dell servers spread over three data centers containing more than 7,000 servers.
