TDMA - CDMA White Papers

The cdma2000 High Rate Packet Data System

Overview Code division multiple access (CDMA) technology was introduced in cellular systems in the early 1990s with the development of the IS-95 standard. Since then, the technology has been widely deployed throughout the world reaching the 90-million subscriber mark early in 2001. The experience gained through commercial deployment of IS-95 based networks has shown that on average a ten times increase in voice capacity versus first generation analog systems is achievable.
