Performance of Fixed Wireless Access With cdma2000 1xEV-DO
Overview Fixed and portable wireless Internet access is becoming an important segment for the wireless industry. 1xEVDO, also known as IS-856, has been designed to offer increased user experience and high capacity packet data services on cdma2000 networks. The initial set of 1xEV-DO performance results in the literature has focused on mobile environments. This paper will address some of the fixed wireless aspects and the corresponding impacts on system performance.
