Signature and Beamformer Design for MIMO-CDMA With Various Levels of Feedback

Overview This paper investigates the signature and beamformer design problem for multiple antenna CDMA (MIMO-CDMA) systems with sum capacity as the performance metric. It first shows how to find upper bounds for the sum capacity by relaxing a set of structural constraints. Then the paper shows how to construct an iterative algorithm to find the jointly optimum temporal signatures and transmit beamformers under the assumption of perfect temporal signature and transmit beamforming feedback.
