Overview Organizations today need to improve the performance, availability, manageability, and serviceability of their IT systems to meet corporate goals. At the same time, businesses are trying to keep costs down and reduce complexity. Fortunately, IT systems are becoming more flexible and systems management tools are becoming standardized- easing the burden for IT executives. Dell is leading this effort to help drive down the cost of owning and maintaining the enterprise. The goal for Dell: improve the performance, availability, manageability, and serviceability of IT systems to meet corporate goals; keep costs down; and reduce complexity. As a result, Dell can more efficiently support future growth by adding systems incrementally to match demand rather than paying for capacity in proprietary systems that the company may not use; increase performance and availability incrementally by scaling intelligently; reduce complexity by minimizing management overhead; improve utilization rates by allocating resources where needed; preserve capital by paying for capacity only as the company grows; and reduce TCO by driving down deployment and management expenses.
