Adelaide and Meath National Children's Hospital, Dublin - June 2004
Overview Incorporating the National Children's Hospital(AMNCH) required a solution that would support three of the hospital's critical applications, which contain patients' medical information, an application integration engine and finance systems. The hospital also needed 24 x 7 support with a four-hour response time for its hardware and operating system in the event of the system failure. The solution? Hardware infrastructure based on a resilient Dell and Oracle database solution to run the hospital's main information system. It includes Dell PowerEdge Servers, Dell/EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) and Oracle Database on a Red Hat Linux Cluster. Dell implemented the hardware and operating system while AMNCH staff implemented the Oracle Database and Application. The Dell team provided AMNCH with a single point of contact and managed the project.
