Formal Semantics for a UML Fragment Using UML/OCL Metamodeling

Overview This paper studies the definition of formal semantics for a fragment of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) that covers some static and dynamic UML concepts. The idea of the considered methodological approach is based on the formalization of an information system in order to use this model as a semantic reference structure. Metamodels for abstract syntax and a set of constraints for static semantics of metaclasses are provided for this fragment.
