Resource Pooling and Effective Bandwidths in CDMA Networks With Multiuser Receivers and Spatial Diversity
Overview Much of the performance analysis on multiuser receivers for direct-sequence code division multiple-access (CDMA) systems is focused on worst case near-far scenarios. The user capacity of power-controlled networks with multiuser receivers are less well understood. This paper shows that under some conditions, the user capacity of an uplink power-controlled CDMA cell for several important linear receivers can be very simply characterized via a notion of effective bandwidth. The paper also shows that these results extend to the case of antenna arrays.

Data on 3G: an Introduction to the Third Generation
The telecommunications world is changing as the trends of media convergence, industry consolidation, Internet and Internet Protocol (IP) technologies and mobile communications collide into one. Significant change will be bought...
Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) for Robust Ad Hoc Vehicle Communication Networks
This paper proposes a novel robust and self-organizing architecture for mobile ad hoc networks. The proposed architecture, Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA), relies on user position information and provides users...
Analysis of a Partial Decorrelator in a Multicell DS-CDMA System
Although the decorrelator has probably drawn more attention than any other multiuser detector, almost all studies have been for a single-cell code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system. In a CDMA system with...
Capacity Simulation of cdma2000 1xEV Wireless Internet Access System
The cdma2000 1xEV standard, also known as IS-856, is the next generation solution to the ever-growing demand for high-speed wireless Internet access. The 1xEV standard is an evolution of the...
CDMA-Based Network-on-Chip Architecture
This paper presents a novel Network-on-Chip (NoC) architecture that is based on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) techniques. The orthogonality properties of a Walsh code are used to route data...
