Receiver Antenna Diversity Using the EMS Wireless Mirrorcell Select CDMA Repeater

Overview Receiver antenna diversity is offered by EMS Wireless to improve CDMA repeater reverse link performance in large coverage areas, some of which are often in the clutter, and where forward link power is typically 4 Watts or 7 Watts. With such a scheme, signals from two reverse link receiving antennas at the repeater site are combined using a proprietary EMS Wireless/Qualcomm technique, then amplified and retransmitted to the donor base station.
