Successive Interference Cancellation Algorithms for Downlink W-CDMA Communications
Overview In this paper, successive intracell interference cancellation (IIC) of the wideband-code division multiple access (W-CDMA) signal at the mobile unit is considered. Three new interference cancellation techniques suitable for the downlink of any CDMA system with orthogonal spreading are proposed. No prior knowledge of users' spreading codes or even their spreading factors are required for interference cancellation. A new term, effective spreading code, has been introduced in this paper, which is defined as the interfering user physical code as seen by the desired user within the desired user symbol duration.

Data on 3G: an Introduction to the Third Generation
The telecommunications world is changing as the trends of media convergence, industry consolidation, Internet and Internet Protocol (IP) technologies and mobile communications collide into one. Significant change will be bought...
Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) for Robust Ad Hoc Vehicle Communication Networks
This paper proposes a novel robust and self-organizing architecture for mobile ad hoc networks. The proposed architecture, Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA), relies on user position information and provides users...
Analysis of a Partial Decorrelator in a Multicell DS-CDMA System
Although the decorrelator has probably drawn more attention than any other multiuser detector, almost all studies have been for a single-cell code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system. In a CDMA system with...
Capacity Simulation of cdma2000 1xEV Wireless Internet Access System
The cdma2000 1xEV standard, also known as IS-856, is the next generation solution to the ever-growing demand for high-speed wireless Internet access. The 1xEV standard is an evolution of the...
CDMA-Based Network-on-Chip Architecture
This paper presents a novel Network-on-Chip (NoC) architecture that is based on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) techniques. The orthogonality properties of a Walsh code are used to route data...
