OPSLOG WebView: A New Vantage Point for Viewing OPSLOG
Overview OPSLOG is a Unicenter CA-OPS/MVS component that keeps copies of all automation events. Events are continuously added to the OPSLOG as they occur. The OPSLOG resides in a data space owned by the Unicenter CA-OPS/MVS main product address space, and through a parameter you control the number of events kept in OPSLOG. Multiple users can simultaneously access the events kept in OPSLOG, using any combination of the legacy OPSVIEW OPSLOG Browse option under TSO and the new OPSLOG WebView. OPSLOG WebView, introduced in Release 4.5, allows users to view the Unicenter CA-OPS/MVS OPSLOG from a web browser running on a Windows platform. OPSLOG WebView consists of two components: a browser (GUI) and a server. The design of the GUI brings all of the functionality currently available with the mainframe OPSLOG Browse to the workstation. Functions that are provided by OPSLOG WebView include buffering of received messages, message labeling and locating, and a full set of command issuing capabilities. Users are also able to uniquely configure columns, font, and foreground and background colors.
