The Physical Markup Language Core Components: Time and Place
Overview The Physical Markup Language (PML) is designed to be a common ?language? for describing physical objects, processes and environments. Clearly it is difficult to describe the physical world with sufficient detail to meet the need of every company, industry or organization. However, there are common characteristics of physical objects that nearly everyone can agree on. Objects have physical properties - volume and mass. The core components of the Physical Markup Language are intended to capture these most basic physical properties of objects and environments. This paper will describe the elements that define simple configuration, location, time and measurement.
