Conventional and Low Cost RFID: The Smart Label Revolution

Overview Nowadays Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a term used for any device that can be sensed at a distance by radio frequencies with few problems of obscuration or misorientation. The origins of the term lie in the invention of tags that reflect or transmit a radio-frequency signal. Now ones working below 300 Hz and those working above 300 MHz, such as microwave (GHz) tags are included. For example, one type of REMOSO chipless RFID tag works at only a few hertz (modulated on 2.45 GHz). Others work at a few hundred Hertz.
