Overview This paper introduces the basic concepts required to create a COM-based conduit using the COM Sync Suite and guides readers through the development process. The COM Sync Suite is a component of the Palm OS Conduit Development Kit (CDK) for Windows from PalmSource, Inc. It provides COM objects/methods/properties, the IPDClientNotify interface, COM Sync software layer, documents, and utilities to help developers create COM-based conduits that run on Windows computers. Key to the success of the Palm OS platform, conduits are software objects that exchange and synchronize data between an application running on a desktop computer and a Palm Powered handheld.
