FileNet P8: Event-Driven Business Process Management
Overview This paper talks about FileNet P8 and the Business Process Manager, which are based on the concept of Active Content and Active Processes, in which the events that drive actions in business systems across the enterprise are more than changes in application data, but include changes in unstructured content objects, structured business objects, or the folders that contains them. Event-driven workflow brings agility and flexibility to complex, long-running processes, and Active Content allows FileNet to deliver its benefits to entire process classes, such as case management or content management, which are ignored by other BPM vendors.
