Peer-to-Peer Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Architecture

Overview The first wave of integrating storage, compute, and networking hardware helped businesses move from client/server to internet-based peer-to-peer networks. A second wave of integrating applications on top of the hardware infrastructure promises to deliver unprecedented economies of scale. In a simple three-tier enterprise IT model, applications (top-layer) need to be integrated seamlessly with the hardware infrastructure (foundation) to generate the best operational efficiencies. The distributed architecture of the modern Enterprise Service Bus provides ease of use and real-time responses from integrated services as discussed in this document.
