Health Care Organization: Electronic Information Exchange Solution

Overview Before a large US health care organization could realize cost reductions through Internet claims administration, it needed to comply with multi-state and federal health care legislation. Mandating requirements for transaction security and information, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) also provided a set of standards designed to encourage electronic information exchange among healthcare partners. Accenture worked with the client to develop a solution that would ensure compliance with the new legislation, but would also help reduce paper-bound administration processes.
