Agfa Chooses StorageTek to Support One of the WorldÂ’s Largest Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)

Overview Agfa needed a partner to store 20 terabytes of data a year from the one million examinations it undertakes for the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) program of Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS). For this Agfa turned to StorageTek, Agfa chose StorageTekÂ’s D178 disk subsystem to handle 12 terabytes of the digital radiology information created by PACS. The key benefits are its high performance, fast access to information and its scalability. The disk subsystem also has centralized management capabilities that deliver a single-view of storage management from any location.
