IBM Case Study: HCT Dubai Women's College (DWC)

Overview The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is one of the largest, most progressive and successful institutions of higher education in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dubai Women’s College (DWC) is the only college within the HCT system to offer an engineering program for women leading to a higher Diploma in Software Engineering Technology. As a technology leader, it was clear to the College that teaching and learning practices could be significantly enhanced by the appropriate use of computers. They deployed IBM’s ThinkPad University programme comprising notebook computers for all students, blended with new teaching practices, technology and programme administration.
