State Of Oregon Meets Letter of the Law With StorageTek Email Xcelerator Software

Overview When employees of the Department of Administrative Services of the state of Oregon government send e-mails, they are not just conducting business. They are creating public-record documents, and Oregon's Freedom of Information Act mandates that these documents be accessible for at least six years. Oregon's IT department chose to manage the state's flood of e-mail with one of StorageTek's Email Xcelerator software solutions. The state purchased StorageTek's Email Content Manager, an application that gives users bottomless mailboxes because it automatically migrates e-mail from the Exchange server to an archive server but leaves a pointer for fast, reliable access to the archive.
