IBM eServer xSeries Provides a Key Ingredient in Campbell Soup Company's New Trade Funding Solution

Overview Campbell has been a leader in business process improvement for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. It wanted to provide powerful and reliable servers on which to standardize applications for a new business critical, integrated, real-time trade management system. The solution it chose was IBM eServer xSeries Model 360 systems running the Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server operating system and Web server and application server functionality in support of the CP iSales application in a hosted environment. The result was that the cost-efficient Intel-based 4-way architecture provides necessary performance and reliability for real-time e-business at a relatively low total cost of ownership.
