Huawei Technologies: Reaping Higher Productivity and Lower Costs by Combining WLAN and Intel Centrino Mobile Technology
Overview Huawei Technologies Company, a leading communications product manufacturer in China, was growing so quickly across so many geographies that its IT staff was hard-pressed to keep up with the constant network wiring and rewiring. Worker productivity was impacted when networks were disrupted, and the business stalled when workers could not access corporate data to make decisions and respond to customers. Huawei Technologies equipped its mobile workers with a new generation of thinner, lighter, more battery-efficient notebook computers based on Intel Centrino mobile technology. As many as 10,000 Huawei workers now have fast access to corporate systems without wires, expensive add-in adapter cards, or delays.
