Overview Dynamic LPAR (DLPAR) enables one to make dynamic processor and memory configuration changes in an LPAR. The ability to dynamically modify the number of CPUs as well as available memory can offer benefits in being able to quickly manage resources and respond to changing processing requirements. This paper documents the results of testing DLPAR to modify processor and memory resources in an SAP R/3 workload.
