Palm Handhelds Deliver News Headlines on-the-go to Talk Radio Producers
Overview CFRB is Canada's most-listened-to news and information AM radio station. In the past, CFRB producers relied upon paper agendas to schedule guests on the station's shows, set-up meetings, and keep track of contact information and important dates. CFRB producers decided they needed to find a better way to become more organized and connected with each other. After an original trial period, Palm handhelds were chosen along with AvantGo's, My AvantGo mobile internet service. This brought user-friendly, up-to-the minute portable technology to the producers and increased productivity as preparation time for shows was reduced. It also improved access to information and employee connectivity as information can be communicated and shared quickly between staff.
